Bronxville
Sanchin Dojo

“Sanchin” is literally translated as “three battles”, and more generally as “three influences”. The three influences for the Sanchin Dojo are Karate, Jujitsu and weapons. Our goal is to unify Mind, Body and Spirit, through a deeper understanding of these martial disciplines.
The Sanchin Dojo is located at 101 Pondfield Road West in Bronxville, NY. The dojo was established in 1990 by Andy Dowdell, Joe Fiore, Debbie DeLuca and Joe Mandese, as part of the Ryu Renshi-Dan Karate System, and is now part of Grandmaster Harold Glackin’s Goshindo Martial Arts System.
Goshindo Martial Arts was developed in 1971 by Grandmaster Harold Glackin, 10th Dan, as a blend of traditional karate (Shotokan, Goju) with modern self-defense techniques (Judo and Jujitsu). Professor Glackin has been in the martial arts since 1963, and continues to train and teach today.
At the Sanchin Dojo we strive to help every student achieve their personal best in the Martial Arts and in life. The Sanchin Dojo teaches students traditional Karate as well as Jujitsu techniques. All of our instructors have many years of experience in martial arts and teaching. Students from beginner to advanced, age 5 to 75 are welcome at the Sanchin Dojo.
